1. Who we are

This website is operated by Middle East Machinery FZE (“we”, “us”, “our”), a trading company registered in the United Arab Emirates. We are the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Which law applies

We process personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”). Where a visitor is located in the European Union or United Kingdom, we also aim to handle their data consistently with the GDPR. This policy is intended to satisfy both frameworks.

3. What data we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us. When you use our contact form or write to us, this may include:

• your name;
• your company name (optional);
• your email address;
• your phone / WhatsApp number (optional);
• the details of your enquiry (the machinery, spare parts or service you are asking about).

Our hosting provider may automatically keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this website, and we do not build profiles about you.

4. How we collect it

We receive your data only when you actively contact us — through the contact form, the WhatsApp button or link, email, or by phone. The form itself does not submit to a server: pressing “Send request” opens your own email application, and the WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp, each pre-filled with your message so you can send it yourself.

5. Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your personal data to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange supply and delivery, and keep a record of our correspondence. Our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, and — where required — your consent.

6. Who receives your data and international transfers

Because of how you can reach us, your message may pass through third-party services located outside the UAE:

• WhatsApp / Meta — if you contact us via WhatsApp, your message is handled by Meta under its own privacy terms.
• Your email provider — if you send an email, it travels through your own and our email providers.
• Our website host — server logs are held by our hosting provider.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Any transfer outside the UAE is limited to what is necessary to communicate with you.

7. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The only browser storage we use is a single functional flag that remembers whether the intro animation has already played during your visit. Because it is strictly necessary and does not track you, no cookie consent banner is required.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your request and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to our use of it; or receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, email sales@middle-east-machinery.ae. You also have the right to complain to the competent data protection authority, including the UAE Data Office.

10. Security

The website is served over HTTPS and applies a strict content security policy. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

11. Children

This website is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last changed.
